ISIOLO SOUTH MP MOHAMED TUBI BIDU DIES AT NAIROBI HOSPITAL
Isiolo South Member of Parliament Mohamed Tubi Bidu passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
The first-term legislator, who was elected in 2022 on a Jubilee Party ticket, succumbed after a prolonged illness, marking a significant loss to the nation and Parliament.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula announced the MP’s death during a sitting in Parliament, describing it as a profound loss to both the House and the country.
“It is with profound deep sorrow that I inform you and the nation of the demise of our esteemed colleague, the Member for Isiolo South Constituency, Tubi Bidu Mohamed, MP, who has left us this evening, Wednesday, 12th November 2025, while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital,” the Speaker said.
He eulogized Tubi as a humble, hardworking, and dedicated public servant who made a positive impact on his community and Kenya at large.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, let us remember Tubi for his remarkable service and the positive impact he had on our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, constituents and all those who had the privilege of knowing him,” he said.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
Before serving in Parliament, the late Honorable Tubi was the inaugural Speaker of Isiolo County Assembly from 2013 to 2017, where he laid the foundation for county legislation and governance.
In the National Assembly, he served on the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry and Mining, as well as the Public Petitions Committee, dedicating himself to environmental conservation and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.
Tributes have poured in from leaders and colleagues across the country, with Saboti MP Caleb Amisi commending Tubi as a committed leader whose legacy of service and humility will endure.
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale also noted Tubi’s commitment and service to his constituents with humility since his election.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Today, our nation, and especially the people of Northern Kenya, mourn the passing of Hon. Mohamed Tubi, MP for Isiolo South, who succumbed after a long illness,” Duale said.

The family has yet to release an official statement on the details surrounding the illness that led to his passing.
National Assembly Speaker Wetang’ula conveyed condolences to the family and constituents, praying that the late MP’s soul may rest in eternal peace.
