PRESIDENT RUTO CRITICIZE LEADERS SPREADING NEGATIVITY ON KENYA’S DEVELOPMENT
President William Ruto has sharply criticized leaders who spread negativity about Kenya’s development, describing such attitudes as regressive and harmful to the country’s progress.
Speaking during a church service in Samburu County, President Ruto urged political figures and citizens alike to stop smearing the government’s ambitious development plans, warning that such negativity undermines the gains Kenya has achieved so far.
“I see many people who speak negatively about our country, I seem any people who confess many negative things about our country,” he said.
“We have a country like no other. We have a blessed nation and we must work for it and believe in it. If you’re a leader and you don’t believe in Kenya, you lack valuable opinions and a plan to transform the nation and everything is negative, you are dragging us behind.” said President Ruto, emphasizing the importance of national unity and a shared vision for progress.
He challenged leaders who do not believe in Kenya’s potential, saying their negative outlook drags the nation backward.
President Ruto reaffirmed his commitment to transform Kenya from a third world country to a first world nation by the year 2055, a vision that has faced criticism from some opposition figures calling attention to abandoned Vision 2030 goals.
“We have been a third world for far too long and it is now time. By the effort of our hands and the unity of the people of Kenya we want to move this nation to a first-world country by 2055,’’ he noted on October 12.
However, he remains optimistic, citing the government’s promising development agenda as key to achieving this milestone
The president’s message seeks to rally Kenyans towards embracing a positive and united approach to national development, warning against skepticism that could derail progress.
