The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has officially released the shortlist of successful candidates for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise.

The shortlisted candidates include those selected for positions as General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets, Specialist Officers, and Tradesmen and Women, marking a critical phase in the recruitment process.

The candidates are required to report for interviews and selection exercises on specified dates and venues.

Those in the GSO Cadet (regular) category must report to the Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru, on December 1, 2025, starting at 8 a.m.

Candidates shortlisted as GSO Cadet (graduate) should report earlier on November 24, 2025, at the same venue.

Specialist Officers are scheduled to attend interviews at Lanet on December 8, 2025, while Tradesmen and Women candidates are to report at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata, Nairobi, on November 3, 2025, also starting at 8 a.m.

The KDF requires all candidates to bring their original National Identification Card, academic and professional certificates, Curriculum Vitae, and other relevant testimonials, along with four copies of each document.

The Defence Forces have assured candidates that food and accommodation will be provided during the interview period.

Candidates are advised to bring warm clothing due to the weather conditions expected during the recruitment days.

KDF has emphasized that the recruitment process is free, fair, and open to all qualified Kenyans, explicitly warning against any form of bribery or corruption intended to influence the recruitment.

Engaging in corrupt activities is a criminal offense, and those found culpable face arrest and prosecution.

The forces also encourage the public to report any malpractice in the recruitment process to the nearest police or military stations or through the KDF 0726 419 706 or 0726 419 709.

The recruitment exercise aims to attract disciplined, competent, and patriotic Kenyans prepared to serve their country.

Candidates who pass the final interviews and medical vetting will proceed to professional military training, which will mark the beginning of their journey in service with the Kenya Defence Forces.

Names of shortlisted candidates have been published on the official KDF website https://www.mod.go.ke,where candidates can verify their status by downloading the PDF list. Candidates are also advised to monitor their emails and SMS for official enlistment notifications.
