Corrections Policy
Global Daily Update is committed to correcting errors promptly, transparently, and prominently. We believe that trust is built on accountability.
How We Handle Corrections
When a factual error is identified in a published article:
- We correct the article as quickly as possible after verification.
- We add a correction notice at the top or bottom of the article, clearly stating what was corrected and when.
- We do not silently edit articles to remove errors without disclosure.
Types of Corrections
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Factual correction | An error in a stated fact, statistic, name, date, or figure |
| Clarification | Additional context added where the original wording was ambiguous |
| Update | New information added after initial publication (labelled as an update) |
| Retraction | In rare cases where an entire article cannot be corrected, it is retracted and replaced with an explanation |
