This initiative targets Kenyan professionals across engineering, administration, finance, and support roles to bolster rural road development.

In a notice dated Tuesday, December 23, the authority invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for the advertised positions.

“Pursuant to the provisions of the Act, the Board of Directors invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens who wish to be considered for positions at the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA). The positions are listed below: Grade 1 and Grade 2 posts are on three-year contracts, while Grade 3 posts are on permanent and pensionable terms of service,” the notice read.

Key Vacancy Highlights

Senior roles feature prominently, such as one Director General on a three-year contract and multiple Deputy Directors on permanent terms, including nine in Roads and one each in areas like Legal Affairs and Supply Chain Management.

Other high-demand positions include 25 Principal Engineers, 30 Drivers III/II, and 26 Accountants II/I, spanning grades from 3 to 11.

Entry-level opportunities like Customer Care Assistants and Legal Clerks make this accessible for diverse qualifications.

KeRRA’s recruitment drive features 18 senior leadership positions, including one Director General and one Director of Internal Audit on three-year contracts, alongside nine Deputy Directors in Roads, one each in Enterprise Risk Management, Planning, Legal Affairs, Survey, Supply Chain Management, Research & Innovation, and Administration on permanent and pensionable terms.

Technical and engineering roles encompass over 114 vacancies, such as five Assistant Directors in Roads and Planning, 25 Principal Engineers, 23 Senior Engineers, 25 Engineers, 30 Engineering Technicians, and various surveyors, mostly on permanent and pensionable terms.

Finance and administrative opportunities total over 50, including 26 Accountants, multiple Assistant Directors in Finance, Administration, Internal Audit, and HR, seven Senior Office Administrators, five Assistant Office Administrators, and support staff like 30 Drivers and one Customer Care Assistant, all primarily permanent and pensionable.
